DEFENCE ATTACK @ ALBERT PARK LAKE

Today Matt took on the 5 km run around the Lake. He did it in 31 mins 16secs, which was good considering he hasn't actually been bothered to actually exercise or anything prior to the event. He suffers later on with pain as he doesn't wanna look like a nerd to do warm up exercises. We had Sue Stanley warming us up this morning before the event i had my pic taken with her. As she was more than happy to do it.

I also took pic's of the kitty hawk that was there, also the rescue helicopter also. I also took pic's of the Army tankers too. They also had a display of the bomb experts too.

We picked up heaps of pens from the displays around the place, we got some slap bands from brooks display, pens from the navy, army, and we got Frisbees too. Also got one of the event bags which had a medal which looks poxy and a book for the kids and a certificate, pen, water, muesli bar, 3 different radiant satchels too. Fun morning.

We came home to Matt wanting to sleep like usual................. so i thought i would colour his nose and draw a rat face on him so he looks like one sleeping beside me.......PMSL.

One Week Till We Open!

We open the New Cinema on Thursday next week 28th August 2008.
We have been peparing our selfs and getting used to the menu and tills and all
that great stuff before open day on thursday.

Tonight is the last night of training before we open, we are all looking forward to
opening. I think the centre is also. As we are bringing back the business to the area
once agian.

We have been without a cinema in the area from October last year and finially after
8 weeks of reno's done on the old Village Cinemas, has a risen a new commer READING
CINEMA. It has it's flashy signs and new look of mainly black and red and sliver look. With beautiful big pictures of Lightening McQueen and Happy feet on the back walls near the cinema entrances.

lovely welcoming look about it, better than the ratty run down look that the old village had. With very little appeal at all. It has big screens to tell you whats coming up and whats happening now. It also has the welcoming light boxes on the side that tells you up and coming movies that are soon for release or have been within that week.
It also has an inviting Candy Bar lit up with down lights and the smell of popcorn enters the food court area you know where it's come from.

It's a massifive change from the dark dimsal village to the new funky going with the times cinema. To top it off the funky design of the new chairs which don't sling back and are like half arms so much more comfy.
Also the factor it caters for wheel chair patornes and carrers also. It has one cinema that holds a theatre like style with 200 seats you won't loose out. As well as a 181 seated cinema and 4 cinemas that hold 141 seats in them and yet room for another two if required later on.

NEW JOB - NEW CINEMAS!!!!

I have found myself three jobs over the past three months which is amazing after being here for 2 1/2 yrs. All casual jobs which is good and can all work within one another.
I have just managed to get a job with the New Cinemas here in Dandenong Reading Cinemas. I am now working for them, fun, thrills of day to day wonders of film.

I started with them on Saturday arvo and got to watch a test screening with our family and friends we saw ' Baby Mamma'.
It was a funny comedy movie about a 37 yr old woman that's been told she can't have children as she has a T shaped vagina which upsets her and after 6 attempts of trying IVF her self she goes to Surrogacy instead. What happens next you have to watch to see!!!!

Our uniforms are a black uniform very slick and sofisticated. With a R real on the left hand side of the shirt...... once i have a picture i will download for all to see!

Apart from that i have something nice and close to home now which is wonderful........ What i have been waitting on for some time now!

kiddies have Olympics day at skool tomorrow

Olympics day at Skool, wow how much fun. So mums not working in canteen again this week thats two weeks running now mum's got out of doing canteen at skool yay i say.

So tomorrow as it is the start of the Olympics the principal had an idea of having an open olympics day at skool, plus to also get us parents in the mood too, we to make food of all the countries that are in the olympics as we have a diverse amount of nations at our skool.

So mum here was stuck as to what to make for our little rat bags - so i made for Brock's class a plate of freshly made Fruit Salad : Nanna, Apple, Orange, kiwi and Pineapple.
Then there was Brook what was i going to make her class hummm, thinking thinking. Then Matty came up with making Olympic Rings out of bread and sprinkles in the colours of the Olympic Colours. Well Matty can come in handy after all at times.

So one all complete i will upload pics of lovely rings and fruit salad....... yummmo!

New Addition to our family of beanie kids.......

We now have over 400 beanie kids which are a big part of our family. We have just brought two more to our family.

We got Panda who reminds me alot of matty that i had to buy him........PMSL.
Cute , cuddly, big beast.......hahah!

Then there is my exclusive bear which can only come from CARDEX which our closest one is at Highpoint Shopping Centre.
She is a beautiful MOONLIGHT the bear. She is so cute in her Pj's and face mask to help her sleep at night. Not to forget her cute little pink teddy bear also.
i couldn't go past them with out getting them as you can see so cuteeeeeeeeee!
